Textile merchant and keen traveller, Arturo Scherrer (1881-1956), created a unique garden here, where exuberant vegetation hides exotic structures: a copy of the Erechtheion, an Egyptian temple, an Arab house, a Siamese tea pavilion... The visit also affords stunning views over the lake.
