Considered as the "children" of the god Rama, the monkeys here are king, to such an extent that the inhabitants of Lopburi organise a sumptuous royal banquet in their honour every November, as well as, no doubt, to thank them for the financial benefits they bring, as Prang Sam Yot attracts crowds of tourists! Note the beautiful ceilings inside the three prang.
