Useful information

Description

With its four chimneys overlooking the Thames, Battersea Power Station became famous thanks to the cover of the Pink Floyd album Animals. Built in 1932-34, the power station was closed in 1983 and then abandoned. Its regeneration into a residential, commercial, cultural and leisure complex is at the heart of the huge urban development of the new Nine Elms district on the South Bank.
