Useful information

Description

It was designed by A. W. Pugin (1812-1852), a passionate advocate for the Neo-gothic style, who ended his days in the neighbouring asylum, now the Imperial War Museum. Destroyed by bombing in the last war, it was rebuilt by Romilly Bernard Craze and reopened in 1958. The high altar with carved altarpiece is its only ornament.
