Useful information

Description

Architect Giles Gilbert Scott designed this five-arched bridge of Portland white stone cased in concrete (1945). The view from the bridge towards South Bank is splendid. The proportions and structure of the IBM building (1983) are in harmony with the British Film Institute, by the same architect. The London Weekend Television building, overlooked by high-rises, can be seen beyond it.
