Useful information

Description

This zoo founded in 1828 aims to conserve and breed endangered species, and undertakes biological research on rare animals. It is split into two zones, separated by the Outer Circle and linked by a tunnel. The zoo is home to a whole host of species ranging from insects to lions, penguins to monkeys; they are housed in a dozen historical buildings and compounds that attempt to recreate the animals' natural habitats.
