Useful information

Description

This long stone basilica with windows at two levels was designed by Christopher Wren to replace a medieval church which had largely fallen into ruin by the early 17C. The huge square tower supported by buttresses is adorned with a corbelled cornice and a balustrade crowned with large vases at each corner. Restoration work has brought the interior decor back to its former glory.
