Description

The Guildhall Library contains the Clockmakers' Museum: five centuries of clockmaking are attractively exhibited, with 1 000 models ranging from ornate wooden-cased grandfather clocks to wristwatches and the stopwatches of the 20C. The collection includes a timepiece said to have belonged to Mary Stuart, and two Harrison chronometers.
