Useful information

Description

This church in brownish-red brick with arched windows was designed by Nathaniel Wright and built between 1788 and 1791 (the original medieval church having been damaged by the Great Fire). Its small square tower is topped with a wooden lantern cupola and a gilded spire. The interior is Georgian in style, with rosettes in relief standing out against its white ceiling and coffered apses and stained-glass windows from the 19C. The building has undergone several restorations, most recently to the façade in the early 21C.
