Description
This meat market dates from the Victorian era. Previously livestock was herded into the centre via Islington, and slaughtered in the City itself. Dating from the market's foundation, its red-brick buildings were subsequently enlarged and now take up more than 3ha of land. The market's busiest time is between 5am and 9am.
