Useful information

Description

Inside, note the early 16C oak linenfold panelling which decorates the small sitting room. On the staircase, note the painted armour, the animals carrying coats-of-arms and the trompe l'oeil frieze. The small bedchamber is panelled in Baltic oak. In 1951, the house was named in honour of Sir Thomas Sutton (who died in 1611), who lived nearby.
