Useful information

Description

Chinese Arch marks the entry to the chinatown area of Liverpool. 15m in height, surmounted by a five-tier roof and decorated with 200 dragons, this fine monumental gateway was realised by artisans in Shanghai, Liverpool's twin city. Imported piece by piece in 2000, it spans Nelson Street without deviating from strict Feng Shui rules. Two bronze lions stand guard over it; at New Year the archi s lit up by fireworks and is the backdop for spectacular parades.
