Useful information
Description
Not much remains of this abbey built on the 4C necropolis where St Martial, the Apostle of Limousin, was buried. Yet in the Middle Ages, it was a hotbed of religious, artistic and cultural activity and between the 9C and 12C, its scriptorium produced some masterpieces, such as the Manuscript of the Second Bible (National Library).
