Description
The former Wuyts van Campen et Baron Caroly museum has had a facelift and has now reopened as the municipal museum. It houses paintings dating from the 16C to the present day, as well as silverware and sculptures. There are works by Flemish masters, such as Pieter Brueghel the Younger, Jan Bruegel the Elder and Rubens. The collection has been enriched by new exhibits (such as the 14C-16C seals) and works taken from the former Timmermans-Opsomer museum which was dedicated to works by local artists.
