Description

On the western side of the street, there are several Baroque houses still standing. The most beautiful is undoubtedly the Romanushaus built between 1701 and 1704 for the burgomaster Franz Conrad Romanus. At n° 11, admire the Fregehaus, house of rich banker Christian Gottlob Frege, the Fugger of Leipzig, whose business empire stretched across Europe and over the Atlantic.
