Description
A café as such establishments were in the 19C: glass panels in the form of arcades decorated with frosted glass motifs, sculpted wood panels, gilding, large arch mirror, chandeliers and trompe-l'oeil medallions. One can easily imagine the shipowners sitting here in their top hats, reading the gazette to find out the latest developments on the harbour, before Georges Simenon made it his headquarters.
