Useful information

Description

The National World War II Museum charts the different military operations launched by the Americans during WWII. The museum ended up here because 20,000 landing craft, totalling some 92% of the entire D-day landing fleet, were produced by the New Orleans-based Higgins Industries. The visit includes military history (from German expansionism in the 1930s to atom bombs), exhibits of landing craft and accounts of the landing operations. Fascinating and educational!
