Useful information

Description

On the corner of Cuba Street and Merced Street stands the fine architectural ensemble of the Convento de la Merced, begun in 1755 and not finished until the following century. Make sure you visit the church, which is richly decorated with polychromatic sculptures, altarpieces and finely worked sacristy furnishings, as well as frescoes, particularly on the cupola. The building shows the ravages of time, but is all the more poetic as a result.
