Useful information

Description

Though founded as recently as 1981, MoNA, as locals call it, has acquired a strong reputation for its focus on Northwest contemporary artists. Its small but select permanent collection (second floor) includes works by the four mid-20C artists credited with fathering the Northwest style: Mark Tobey, Morris Graves, Guy Anderson and Kenneth Callahan. The museum's Benaroya Glass Gallery features works by Dale Chihuly and other outstanding regional glass artists. MoNA's aggressive schedule of changing exhibits features traveling exhibits and shows highlighting the works of individual artists.
