Useful information

Description

The Parque Nacional de la Ciénaga de Zapata, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 2001, protects an exceptional habitat of lagoons and mangroves inhabited by waders, migratory birds and a few crocodiles. But there's no need to worry - if you visit here you'll be accompanied by ever-watchful guides. Bird enthusiasts can make for the excellent bird observatory at Santo Tomás, while children will enjoy the Criadero de Cocodrilos crocodile show.
