Description
The long white sand beaches shaded by filao trees at L'Hermitage and La Saline attract many families, especially on weekends, when this spot is at its busiest. The barrier reef here forms a peaceful, shallow lagoon. Bring plastic sandals (to protect against the coral and sea urchins), and a mask and snorkel for swimming among the damselfish, clownfish, parrotfish and guinea fowl puffers. The sea cucumbers may look rather unappealing, but they don't pose any threat.
