Description
Laid out on three floors, this museum charts the dark days and heroic acts of the era when the Rynek was renamed "Adolf Hitler Platz". It depicts the elimination of the intelligentsia, the creation of the ghetto and Płaszów concentration camp, the Emalia factory run by Oskar Schindler, the organisation of the resistance and everyday hardships... It is all there, thanks to artefacts and numerous testimonies by people who lived through the period, shown on interactive screens. Heart-rending.
