Useful information

Description

The historic brewery of the most famous brewer of Danish beer has been turned into a museum celebrating the brand and its know-how. We learn that in 1847 its founder, Jacob Christian Jacobsen, is said to have decided to set up his brewery on this hill on account of the quality of its water. The brewer then went on to coin the name "Carlsberg" (meaning "Carl Mountain") in a dual tribute to the hill and to his son Carl.
