Description
With its long canal, cobbled banks and fine restored 18C houses, Christianshavn exudes the peaceful charm of a small Danish coastal port. The district is, nonetheless, only a stone's throw from Copenhagen's historic centre. The iconic Dutch Baroque Vor Frelsers Kirke (Church of Our Saviour), completed in 1752, commands a breath-taking view over the city and sea from the top of its outdoor serpentine spire.
