Description
This superb garden was laid out around 1870 on land freed up when the fortifications were demolished. Dotted with huge greenhouses home to palms, cacti and orchids, shaded by tall old trees and with a man-made lake and Alpine garden, it belongs to the Natural History Museum. In the garden, you can visit the Geological Museum (fine collection of rocks, as well as a fragment of moon rock).
