Description
In 1836, when westbound wagon trains were outfitted here, Westport Landing's small population included John Sutter (central to the 1849 California Gold Rush) and scouts Kit Carson and Jim Bridger. Today, the historic brick buildings are a hip crossroads with specialty shops, boutiques, galleries, restaurants and a slew of nightlife venues.
