Description
You will be struck by the charm of this abandoned monastery, founded in the 14C, surrounded by countryside. Its delicate architecture is of Italian inspiration and its church, Ágios Fanoúrios, contains some remarkably vivid and well-preserved frescoes depicting scenes from the Life of the Virgin and various saints (left-hand aisle). Other frescoes (15C) adorn the right-hand aisle and the narthex.
