Description
Built in 1654-1655, the church could accommodate 6 000 worshippers in its rectangular nave with polychrome ceiling and four surrounding galleries. The balconies are decorated with scenes from the Old and New Testaments and the coats of arms of donors who financed the building. Dedicated to the Holy Spirit, it was later enhanced by the addition of a steeple which in accordance with regulations does not exceed the roof height. A Unesco World Heritage site.
