Rediscovered in 1913 beneath the Palacio de Villardompardo, Jaén's Arab baths date from the 11C. Superb restoration work has highlighted their architectural perfection. The first room has a glass floor enabling visitors to view the archaeological remains below. The four rooms - an entrance hall, cold room, warm room and hot room - are connected by horseshoe arches. Light filters delicately through, making for a serene atmosphere.
