Useful information

Description

The imposing mass of the former Arab fortress, which was transformed by St Ferdinand III, stands at the top of Santa Catalina's Hill. This was the original point of the ramparts that surrounded the town but of which only the Angel's Gate and the San Lorenzo Arch and Comfort Arch remain. Distributed around the ward there are four watchtowers, as well as a keep that commands spectacular views over the Sierra de Jabalcuz and the olive groves.
