Useful information

Description

Built between the mid 16C and the late 17C according to plans by Vandelvira, this is one of the finest examples of Andalucian Renaissance architecture. The extraordinary main façade is palatial in appearance. The interior is striking, particularly the transept, which is a masterpiece by Pedro del Portillo and Juan de Aranda. Note also the remarkable choir stalls and the miraculous Veil of the Holy Face, the most precious treasure in the cathedral.
