The Michelin Guide's review
Depicted by pristine beaches, a marshy coastline and lush vegetation, as well as golf courses, tennis courts and luxury country homes, Amelia Island, dominated to the north by Fort Clinch, has nonetheless remained unspoiled at heart. To the northeast of Florida, just beneath Cumberland Island, this lovely 13mi/22km-long stretch of land was named after Princess Amelia, daughter of King George II of England.
