Located on the northwest coast of the island, this wild and windswept landscape is managed by the Nature Conservancy of Hawaii. The 372ha reserve is home to flourishing indigenous plants and the Hawaiian owl (pueo), as well as being a nesting site for the endangered green sea turtle. The Nature Conservancy also runs guided hikes for visitors.
