Description
Stretching from the suburbs of Portland to the mouth of the Deschutes River, the Columbia River Gorge Scenic Area (556mi²) is home to 90 waterfalls, national parks and cliffs exceeding 650ft in height, from which visitors can enjoy spectacular views. The second longest river in the United States, the Columbia carves its path through volcanic basalt along the border between Oregon and Washington State.
