Description
Motorized adventurers need an early start to reach the east end of Maui via this narrow, winding 53mi road. Three miles past Paia—an old sugar-plantation town, 7mi east of Kahului—it passes Ho'okipa Beach Park, a famed windsurfing venue. A good picnic stop is Puohokamao Falls, 22mi before Hana, a little village on an attractive bay.
