Description

This Georgian sandstone edifice (1819) houses the Legislative Assembly of Nova Scotia, founded in 1758. The Red Chamber, where the Legislative Council used to meet, is open to the public. In the assembly chamber visitors may witness spirited debates when parliament is sitting. The parliamentary library was formerly the seat of the provincial Supreme Court.
