In this park, which affords stunning views of Glacier Bay, visitors can observe an extraordinary variety of marine- and land-based animals and enjoy seemingly limitless expanses of wilderness in a park devoid of roads. Visitors will have a distinct sense of privilege as they enter this natural kingdom governed by whales and bears. Recognising the unique value of its landscapes, UNESCO declared it a Biosphere Reserve in 1986 and a World Heritage Site in 1992.
