Rising between Bialystok and Augustow, the short River Biebrza runs through a marshy landscape inhabited by elk and beaver, plus a wealth of bird life, resident all year round in a perfect habitat. Poland's largest national park (592km2), the Biebrza will appeal to birdwatchers and lovers of the great outdoors (who should remember to bring their wellington boots!).
