Description
Commemorates the hard-fought 1863 campaign for Chattanooga, a key Confederate rail center. Begin at the park visitor center on the edge of the Chickamauga battlefield to view the splendid multimedia production, The Battle of Chickamauga, and wander through the Fuller Collection of American Military Arms. A 7mi automobile tour of Chickamauga leads past some 1,400 monuments and markers that recall the Confederate defeat of the Union army in September 1863.
