Useful information

Description

This grand Palladian residence was built between 1756 and 1771 for the Cole family, Earls of Enniskillen. It stands in a sprawling wooded estate planted with the Florence Court elm, a unique species. Inside, visitors can see some fine Cole family portraits, erotic Japanese engravings and, in particular, the fantastic Rococo stuccowork in the staircase. The dingy staff quarters (in the basement) can also be visited.
