Description
Designed to a semicircular plan by the architect of Versailles, Hardouin-Mansart, and built by one of his pupils, Robert de Cotte, between 1686 and 1701, the arcades of this quasi-royal square, occupied by shops, give a majestic appearance to the main courtyard of the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy.
