Useful information

Description

This museum is housed in Motown's original premises, "Hitsville USA", where Berry Gordy Jr founded the mythical record label in 1959. Success was on the cards with artists such as the Temptations, the Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, the Jackson Five and others who merged gospel, pop, and rhythm-and-blues to create what would become known as the Motown sound. Visitors today can see a host of artefacts, costumes and photos and look around the famous studio A.
