Description
Bird lovers take note: this stopover point on the Pacific flyway boasts sightings of nearly 300 species. Encompassing 300ha/850 acres of wetlands and marsh in the Fraser River estuary, the sanctuary was founded on the initiative of George H. Reifel. During snow goose migration (Nov to Apr), between 50,000 and 100,000 snow geese gather here, creating an unforgettable sight - don't forget your binoculars.
