Useful information

Description

The huge summer palace of Bao Dai, in Dalat, has remained intact since the emperor's departure in exile in 1955, despite being used regularly for a further twenty years or so by the country's presidents. Built in the 1930s on a hill surrounded by pine groves, it is decorated in Art Deco style. The ceremonial rooms and office are located on the ground floor, with the more discreetly furnished private apartments on the first floor.
