Useful information

Description

Culross is famous for its fine examples of Scottish vernacular architecture: white roughcast or faded colourwash, rubblestone work, windows with stone moulding, door trim, red Flemish tiles interspersed with glass tiles, and forestairs. The significant buildings include the corbelled tower of the Study and, just opposite, the oldest house in Culross. The exhibition in Town House is a good introduction to a tour of the village.
