Description
This landmark district was developed as Lakeview's showpiece by Benjamin and John McConnell in 1883. Victorian mansions include the George E Marshall House (1886) and the shingle Benjamin F. McConnell House (1884). See also the Queen Anne-style Herman H. Hettler House, with its original corner turret, curving veranda and stone foundation, and the John McConnell House (1885), which was renovated in 1993.
