Description

Designed by Louis Sullivan in 1899, this tiny gem that is Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Cathedral combines a decorative aesthetic with the form of a rural Russian church. It has a yellow-painted bell tower, onion dome and walls covered in white stucco. The edifice was constructed with a donation of $4,000 from Tsar Nicholas II, on the initiative of Patriarch Tikhon, who was later beatified.
