Useful information

Description

Newberry Library (1887), one of the country's best independent research libraries, is reserved for arts students. Temporary exhibitions draw heavily on the collections of this respected institution and offer the general public an opportunity to glimpse its treasures: 1.5 million volumes and 5 million manuscripts, including at 1481 edition of Dante's Divine Comedy. The lobby gives a foretaste of the building's grandiose nature.
