Description
This grand old department store occupies an entire block at the north end of the legendary State Street. It was completed in stages between 1892 and 1914 by D. H. Burnham & Co. for Marshall Field & Company, whose slogan was "Give the Lady What She Wants!". Its richly embellished corner clock remains a Chicago icon. The interior features 90 000 m2/107 600sq yd of retail space and a superb Tiffany Favrile glass dome.
