Yushan is the least accessible of Taiwan's national parks and is also the site of its tallest mountains: 30 peaks exceed a height of 3 000m, including Yushan itself, known as Jade Mountain, the highest point on the island at 3 950m. Paths run across this magnificent preserved landscape at different altitudes.
